UPDATE ABOUT FIRES-INFORM ABOUT FIRES🔥🔥🔥

Cyprus Fire Watch is being upgraded with new features and will remain completely free.

Through a close collaboration with the volunteer forest protection team ATLAS, the weather forecast platform ierodiakonou and the voluntary technical support of the developers of Global Titan Digital Marketing, Cyprus Fire Watch can be considered an essential choice in reporting fires and beyond.

A new feature of Cyprus Fire Watch is the report fire (fire declaration)

With the new "Report Fire" button you can easily report a fire.
How is this even possible?

By seeing smoke or fire by pressing the report fire button in a few seconds and filling in the name and phone number the app allows you to take a photo of the fire scene by clicking the capture fire option.
Then clicking the report a fire button the app sends the photo to our group.

What does that mean?

Automatically our team receives your coordinates i.e. the location you are in and with the photo you send we can see how severe the fire is based on the vegetation burning and the area it took.

Immediately a volunteer of the ATLAS forest protection team will immediately inform the fire service or the forest department about the exact location of the fire and the burning vegetation, two very important information for the responsible authorities for immediate response.

This way, we can all become valuable allies in timely treatment.

All Cyprus Fire Watch functions so far:

1. Report Fire - Report a fire quickly and easily.
2. Email Alerts - Get informed in your email about fire developments in Cyprus.
3. SMS Alerts - Receive instant alerts on your mobile phone (Only for critical occasions. )

It is with great sadness and utter devastation to announce that our beautiful home and guesthouse rooms are gone...the wildfire that started 23 July 2025 in Malia reached us and with immense winds swirling in all directions as well as no electricity there was zero chance to save it as our own water supply could not be accessed without the pump! Help came too late....at least we are alive and so are the cats. Sadly our other animals perished.....more details to follow. Please share 🙏 stay safe and pray for Cyprus that these wildfires end as they are still burning in various locations. Photos taken from Atlas Fireteam and

View of the village of Malia, our nearest neighbour with it's minaret. The village used to have both Greek and Turkish residents pre 1974, that's why you will find a Greek Orthodox church and a mosque.
