In Nubian language, Anakato means “Our Home” — The brand Anakato started in 2008, with one unique storybook looking Nubian House on the banks of the Nile in Gharb Soleil (Nubia), West of Aswan. Now, it has expanded into a concept. Anakato now manages different Nubian houses, islands and resorts spread out in Gharb Soheil village in Aswan West.
We are known for our various daily all-round year activities, which range from ancient spa and sanding/medicinal earthing, full body mud mask for skin healing, camel trips across the deserts and tombs of lost civilizations, bird watching right after dawn, kayaking and sand-boarding, fishing trips in Lake Nasser, and our own cherry: your privacy for chilling and “Just Be” at our quaint Anakato sandy beach spot. ANAKATO MAIN HOUSE (Center). The infamous colored Nubian house. Located end of Gharb Soheil village, first row on the Nile with 4 Rooms of Nubian Architecture.. You may book the entire place for your family. What an Experience!

Anakato KENDAKA: First row on the Nile, comprised of 8 rooms

Kendaka House Boat: 5 DBL Cabin. The Dhahabeya (boat) is always docking and can sail upon request taken at the time of reservation
ANAKATO BEACH:
A sandy beach, walking distance from Anakato Center. You may swim at ease and also wear our life jacket to do some Kayaking
There are plenty of activities you can make: Sand boarding, Kayaking, Boat Rides, Sailing Boat Rides, Earthing (sand burial and full body mud mask), camel rides, Crocodile Trip in Lake Nasser, Bird Watching, Sandlewood Fumigation, etc
NUBIAN CUISINE
We specialize in Nubian food made by the village ladies. In this way, we empower the women and bring forward their tradition. Love is the main ingredient in this community cuisine. Nubians serve a big wholesome breakfast and a late lunch/early dinner. We encourage you to interact with the ladies as they love listening to your preferences. We give you a home-cooked experience. A basic lunch comes with Bread, Tahina, Salad, Vegetables Tajin, with your choce Chicken or meat or fish and dessert. Such tasty meal comes with a minimal cost of $12
NUBIAN SERVICE
The culture of the village people is calm, laid back, and very restful. They go with the flow – allowing you to eventually go with the flow. Things are always magical in Nubia and time has a different dimension here. It is slow! To keep your stay smooth, we advise you to please let Anakato reception know your plans and needs in advance (first thing in the morning or even better the night before!) Such as your preferred meal time, your boat tours and your laundry.
NUBIAN SAFETY
Nubia is known as one of the safest places in the world. Many travelers have attested to this. Nubian people are still very cultural and non-materialistic. However, we would encourage you to please pack valuables away and not leave them lying around your room.

We are developing the Nubian community and endeavor to perform sustainable development initiative for the upcoming Anakato Market. This would entail signature handmade cultural products with unique design and development aspects. Our aim is to bring you something uniquely Nubian, and empowering local women and the village community in the process. We focus on products that have a positive impact on the environment, and low wastage ratio, with cycled goods.
