🚨 ATTENTION DAHAB COMMUNITY: PLEASE SHARE AND EXPOSE THIS DRIVER 🚨
We are writing this because something happened yesterday that completely disgusted us, and we absolutely cannot let this man get away with it. We love Dahab, and everyone knows how incredibly safe, welcoming, and peaceful our town usually is for travelers from all over the world. But yesterday, one sick individual crossed the line, and he needs to be exposed before he tries this with anyone else.
Yesterday, a female Chinese guest of ours was trying to get a ride back from the Blue Hole to our hostel. To make sure she was safe and using a tracked service, she used InDrive.
Instead of doing his job, this driver turned into a total predator. He verbally harassed her with disgusting comments, and then he physically touched her against her will. When she finally made it back to our hostel, she was in an absolute state of shock—crying uncontrollably, terrified, and completely broken by what happened. It broke our hearts to see a guest who trusted our town deal with this kind of trauma.
Because she was leaving Dahab, she was too overwhelmed and distressed to spend hours at the police station filing a report before her departure. We immediately jumped in, contacted support, and got his account permanently banned from the app.
But a simple app ban is a joke for a criminal like this. This person does not represent Egypt, and he does not represent the beautiful, safe, and respectful community we have built here in Dahab. People like him are a disease to our tourism and an insult to our hospitality. He deserves to be behind bars forever.
We refuse to stay silent, and we believe no one should ever let their rights be violated. We are posting his name, his car details, and the trip receipt below so every single person in Dahab recognizes his face and his vehicle.
To all travelers and solo girls: Dahab loves you and will always be a place where you can feel safe and at home, but please remain alert. When taking a ride anywhere, share your live location with your hostel or friends, double-check the license plate, and if a driver ever makes you uncomfortable, call for help immediately.
To the Dahab locals and business owners: Let’s look out for our guests like we always do. Make sure this guy never gets a customer or a piece of business in this town again.
