🇪🇬The cylindrical building in the image is the old Hotel Sheraton, located in Hurghada, Egypt.
Originally inaugurated in 1963, it has the great historical value of having been the first tourist hotel built along the entire Egyptian Red Sea coast. Designed by local architect M. Ramsy Omar, it served as the fundamental pillar that transformed a small fishing village into the current international giant destination.
Due to property conflicts, financial problems, and legal disputes, the iconic hotel permanently closed in the late 1990s.
Today, the circular structure is abandoned, deteriorated, and protected as a famous coastal ruin and photographic point.
