1 The sun disappearing
The light didn’t fade. It withdrew.
Minute by minute the world dimmed, colours draining from the hills, the air turning cool and strange. Birds fell silent, as if they too were holding their breath. There’s a moment before an eclipse when you realise the sun — the thing we take for granted every single day is slipping away, and you can do nothing but watch. Ancient, humbling, unforgettable. 🌘
2 The reveal
And then — light.
After the hush, after the dark, the sun returns like the first sunrise the world ever saw. A blade of gold breaks the edge and pours back across the sky, and something in your chest lifts with it. For a few breathless seconds you understand every myth ever written about this moment. The dark was never the end. The light always comes back.
3 The sun setting
The grand finale nobody scripted.
As if one spectacle wasn’t enough, the sun bowed out slowly over the horizon, trading the drama of the eclipse for the quiet gold of dusk. The sky ran through every colour it knew amber, rose, deep violet and then let go. Some days the universe simply decides to show off. This was one of them.
