🎨 Did you know that this contemporary steel sculpture at Anfi del Mar was created by Basque artist Ernesto Knörr?

His work explores balance, tension, movement and contrast, making heavy steel forms appear suspended in the air as they seemingly defy gravity. ⚖️

If you look closely at its base, you will find ‘KNÖRR 16’ engraved into it: the sculptor’s signature, together with what is likely the year it was created, 2016. 🔍

🥊 What dream does a world champion still have left to fulfil?

Spoiler: his answer has nothing to do with boxing… 💍

We put @‌juniorwitter on the ropes with our Anfi Rally Questions, and he didn’t dodge a single one. 😜

But the confession that knocked us out came at the end: one of the dreams still on his list is to get married again. 💒

And, of course, at Anfi we couldn’t resist asking him:

❤️ “On Anfi’s Heart-Shaped Island?”

His answer was… “You never know!” 😏🏝️

✨ Some moments of joy begin like this…

I open my eyes, step out onto the terrace and, for a few seconds, time stands still. The blue of the ocean, the light of Gran Canaria and that gentle breeze that seems to whisper: “today is going to be a beautiful day too.” 🌊☀️

Because joy is not always found in life’s biggest moments. Sometimes, it is waking up to these sea views, sharing a family holiday and feeling that, even though you are far from home, you have found your second home. 💙

💙 Some places you visit… and others become part of your story.

For Raymond and Anita Houdahl, Anfi is much more than a holiday destination in Gran Canaria. It is where they have shared unforgettable moments, celebrated their tenth anniversary and found the perfect setting for their love story: our iconic heart-shaped island. 🏝️❤️

The experience was so special that it inspired Raymond to write and produce the song “On the Heart-Shaped Island”, dedicated to that unique feeling of arriving at Anfi and knowing you are back home. 🎶✨
