​If you’re spending time in Estepona and want a change of scenery from the beach to the mountains, a day trip to Ronda is an absolute must.

​The drive itself up through the Serranía de Ronda mountains is incredible, but nothing prepares you for stepping out into Ronda itself. Standing on the famous Puente Nuevo bridge and looking down over the dramatic El Tajo gorge is one of those breathtaking moments that simple photos just can't do justice.

​Highlights for a perfect day in Ronda:

​🌉 Puente Nuevo: Take in the views from the bridge, then hike down into the gorge for the legendary photo perspective looking back up.
​☕ Plaza del Socorro: The ideal spot to pause for tapas, coffee, and a bit of people-watching in the heart of town.
​🏰 The Old Town (La Ciudad): Wander through the cobbled streets, Moorish arches, and peaceful plazas that feel worlds away from the coast.
​🌄 Scenic Overlooks: Catch the sunset over the valley before taking the mountain roads back to the coast.

​It’s just over an hour's drive from Estepona, making it one of the easiest—and most dramatic—day trips you can take in Andalucia.
