Some footprints tell stories without ever revealing who passed by… 🐾👀

Across this dune in Fuerteventura, something has left its trail for many metres… 🏜️🐾 before disappearing among the rocks. 🪨

This little host has chosen a strategic spot to rest: from there, he has a panoramic view of the beach, the village and all the tourists arriving and heading up towards the caves. 🐾

While he peacefully enjoys his favourite spot, he seems to keep an eye on everything from his privileged viewpoint… and, of course, welcome everyone who comes to discover this very special corner of Fuerteventura. 🌊

Among the rocks of the Ajuy Natural Monument, in this protected area on the west coast of Fuerteventura, the tradition of the mariantes comes to life once again. 🌊

Here you can find the oldest rock formations in all of the Canary Islands, a unique landscape that holds millions of years of history.

And among this recreation of the mariantes’ way of life, another little protagonist captures everyone’s attention: the Majorero donkey. 🫏💙 That adorable face also brings us closer to the life and traditions of generations past.

Rocks, sea, animals and memory come together in one setting, helping to keep our traditions alive.
