Great spot even in light winds. Need to avoid a couple shallow points. Giant turtles & occasionally dolphins might come along for the ride

Jackson Lake Reservoir, CO
Close to Kansas, on the way from the East when traveling West through Denver.
Ideal for masochists, who love the turning winds and the possibility of getting blown offshore.
Good if there’s North/South winds. Avoid in West wind.

If you end up in offshore wind, make your way to the South or North shore. There is a dam on the South shore, but easy enough to climb with your gear.
