“I have just completed a course with Spain Retreats. After been away for 5 months from any form of exercise I have found myself enjoying every moment. We’re already well into the full swing of summer holidays in Spain.

I must admit there have been times when I’ve been pulling my hair out lately. We all have our challenges to face in life but sometimes you can feel it’s just a bit too much. Throw in a broken freezer and dishwasher (just my luck!), plus the constant battle to get the kids off screens and out of bed, the never ending to-do-list, the messy house…

Can you relate?

Well this is one of those sayings I come back to time and again. When I feel I’m not in control, generally speaking, I haven’t been looking after MYSELF properly.

I remember when I had my son, holding the tiny baby, no doubt looking just as frazzled as I do now. My dear Aunt and Uncle warned me with their wise words. “You can’t look after others if you don’t look after yourself.”

So here I am, telling you to look after yourself, knowing at times I need to listen to that advice!

I’m back with a home based exercise routine to keep my sanity over our 11 week holiday…

“The retreat was an amazing experience for my wife and I.

From the minute we landed to the time we departed, everything was taken care of and the wonderful hosting by Olivia and Abby truly made this a unique experience.

We are not usually used to putting all the planning into someone else’s hands, but it made for a stress free, immersive break where we could simply soak up all the experiences on offer.

The guided walks were simply stunning and a brilliant way to start the day.

The Pilates and Barre classes were sensationally led by Abby who is one of the best instructors we’ve come across.

Meeting new people was a massive bonus and the walks enabled everyone to bond and get to know one another.

Finally the hotel was an oasis.. cool, clean, modern and with sublime food on offer. We would and will come again.”

"I can genuinely recommend this beautiful retreat experience. The girls worked tirelessly to deliver a super special programme packed with Pilates, Barre, walks, spa time, special guests, trips to fabulous local places and the opportunity to eat in some stunning locations. They delivered the retreat with love, laughter, positivity and flexibility and made sure everyone in our intimate little group was looked after. Genuinely nothing was too much trouble and it was a magical few days away with a like minded bunch of girls

What a week our Summer Sizzler was… all our guests were wonderful, it really was a great group with such a positive vibe.

There’s something about people who are up for a fitness holiday ❤️

This lady is special to us. She’s one of those people who brings the best out in others… and herself, she’s so much fun too.

Here’s what she said about her week:-

“I had the most fantastic time on the retreat. It was everything and more than what I expected.

I wanted to do it to kickstart my fitness journey and it definitely did that.

We had the most amazing walks with spectacular views. Then we headed to the studio to do Pilates and Barre. Great for my physical and mental health.

Abby and Olivia are both dedicated to what they do. They were encouraging, patient and caring. Always making sure we were ok and happy. It was a pleasure to spend quality time with them. I will be back!”
