🌺 A LITTLE TIME FOR MYSELF
Tuesday is normally my regular afternoon off.
I started yesterday with a visit to Atelier La Femme to have my nails done. It is a hairdresser and beauty salon here in Puerto de Mogán that I can personally recommend.

They offer hairdressing, manicures, pedicures and a selection of beauty treatments.
Sometimes, especially when work becomes part of almost every day, it is important to stop for a little while and do something simply because it makes you feel good. 😊

We are expecting another sunny August day in Puerto de Mogán.

Puerto de Mogán is expected to have light winds today, although it may feel breezier in more exposed areas.
The latest available air quality reading from the Arguineguín monitoring station was rated Good, with an AQI reading of 22.
That is a positive reading, although air quality information can change during the day.

✈️ GRAN CANARIA AIRPORT
The aviation forecast for Gran Canaria Airport continues to show VFR conditions, meaning visibility and general flying conditions are expected to remain good.
The forecast indicates:
✈️ Visibility: 10 km or more
🌤 Few clouds around 2,500 ft
🌡 Minimum temperature: approximately 23°C
🌡 Maximum temperature: approximately 29°C
💨 Northerly wind, becoming stronger from late morning
The wind is forecast to increase to around 23 knots between approximately 10:00 and 12:00.

Passport control is in Area D.
Please do not wait too long after security before continuing to Area D, particularly when the airport is busy.
• Queues can build quickly
• Seating after passport control is limited
• There is only a small duty free area and no proper café

🏖️ PLAYA DE MOGÁN
Our main beach is sheltered and is normally considerably calmer than many of the island’s more exposed beaches.
Today’s forecast gives us sunny weather, light winds, slight sea conditions and a water temperature of approximately 25°C.

Facilities include:
• Lifeguards
• Toilets
• Accessible facilities
Do not worry if nobody comes to collect payment immediately. You can go for your swim or enjoy the beach. Someone will come around later.

🎶 TOMORROW AT MOGÁN MALL
If you would like an evening out tomorrow, Thursday 27th August, the Cuban group Aseres will be performing at Mogán Mall in Puerto Rico.

Mogán Mall also has restaurants, shops and Lefties, which many people describe as Spain’s answer to Primark.
You can travel from Puerto de Mogán to Puerto Rico by bus 91. You can also take the ferry earlier in the day, but the ferries finish before the concert ends, so plan to return by bus or taxi.

🛒 A PRACTICAL SHOPPING REMINDER
Supermarkets in Spain do not sell medicines such as paracetamol or ibuprofen in the same way supermarkets do in Britain and Scandinavia.
For medicines, you need to visit a farmacia.

You will find the pharmacy over the blue bridge, beside the small square.

📆 LOOKING AHEAD
Friday is market day here in Puerto de Mogán.
The market is normally open from approximately 09:00 to 14:00, and the village becomes considerably busier than usual.
If you plan to visit, arriving early is usually the most comfortable option.
If you prefer a quieter Puerto de Mogán, come later in the afternoon, once many of the market visitors have left.
