There are ideas that only a landscape can give you.
In Valldemossa, ringed by the Sierra de Tramuntana, Mallorca becomes both ingredient and idea — scallops with ají amarillo, gazpacho of Majorcan tomato with orange tartare and almonds. In Palma, the same dishes answer to a different rhythm: the Passeig del Born below, a city that never quite settles.

Four houses inside Palma’s old quarter — steps from the cathedral, the sea walls, or the market streets, never from all three at once. Warm light in the stairwells by early evening, the same faces at the door, visit after visit.
You could close your eyes walking in and still know which of our houses it was.

Can Aulí’s doors open onto the road to Coll de Femenia — 7.5 kilometres, a steady 6% grade, the climb every rider based in Pollença uses to enter the Sierra de Tramuntana. Beyond it, Sa Batalla and, for those chasing the full day, the descent into Sa Calobra. Riders leave before the town is fully awake.
No set hour for breakfast on these mornings. Only the ride — and, waiting at the end of it, a table that makes the climb feel like the easy part. Can Aulí

Can Alomar Hotel stands between two distinct sides of Palma. Sant Feliu keeps the city’s quieter trades — galleries, artisan workshops, and independent makers close enough to watch them work. A few steps on, the Passeig del Born sets a different pace: Palma’s cultural pulse, where the city rarely slows down.
A neo-Gothic palacete, standing exactly where the quiet street meets the loud one for over a century now.

We don’t commission art. We commission hands.
Textiles woven on looms most of the island has forgotten how to use. Glass cut and ground by eye, not machine. Clay dug close to where it’s fired, still carrying the colour of the ground it came from. Ceramic laid piece by piece, tile by tile, with nothing left to chance in the grout line.
Mallorca, made visible by the people who know it best.

Calatrava Hotel looks out over the Bay of Palma from high ground, the water changing colour with the hour — grey at dawn, glass by noon, copper by the time the lights come on below. The view holds steady; little else here does.

Sant Jaume takes its name from the street, and the street from the church at its end — one of the oldest parish churches in Palma, its foundations dated to 1247, gothic and single-naved, built when Jaume I still ruled the kingdom it’s named for. Just across from it stands Santa Magdalena, where the clothed remains of Santa Catalina Thomàs — Mallorca’s own Beata — have rested since the 16th century.
