Hay historias que las escribe el mar.

Antes de llegar a nuestra capilla, San Blasito acompañaba a los pescadores de la zona,
que se encomendaban a él antes de salir al mar y al volver a puerto.

Hoy, la tradición sigue viva. Cada año, su imagen regresa al mar en una romería marinera hacia Los Abrigos.

En The Salmar, guardamos un pequeño rincón para esta historia. Un lugar donde la tradición vuelve al mar.

Some stories are written by the sea.

Before finding its place in our chapel, San Blasito watched over the local fishermen,
who entrusted themselves to him before heading out to sea and on their return to port.

Today, the tradition lives on. Each year, his image returns to the sea in a maritime procession towards Los Abrigos.

At The Salmar, we keep a small corner for this story. A place where tradition returns to the sea.

Nuestra parada más cercana. Charcos naturales de agua salada esculpidos en la roca volcánica, protegidos del oleaje. El lugar idóneo para un baño tranquilo entre mareas o para explorar el fondo marino con gafas de buceo en sus aguas transparentes.

A blue to lose yourself in.

📍 Los Abrigos Natural Pools
Our nearest stop. Natural saltwater pools carved into the volcanic rock, sheltered from the waves. The ideal spot for a peaceful swim between tides or to explore the seabed with snorkelling goggles in its crystal-clear waters.

Un azul para quedarse.

📍 Playa de La Tejita
Donde la costa se vuelve amplia y activa. La Tejita regala un arenal protegido de más de un kilómetro a los pies de Montaña Roja, ideal para caminar o correr a la orilla. A su lado, la bahía de El Médano aprovecha el viento constante para convertirse en el epicentro del windsurf, kitesurf y el entrenamiento al aire libre.

A blue worth staying for.

📍 La Tejita Beach
Where the coastline widens and comes alive. La Tejita offers a sheltered beach stretching over a kilometre at the foot of Montaña Roja, ideal for strolling or jogging along the shore. Next to it, El Médano Bay makes the most of the constant wind to become a hub for windsurfing, kitesurfing and outdoor training.

Un azul para bajar el ritmo.

📍 Playa de Amarilla
Un rincón de piedra volcánica de tonos amarillos y aguas de bajo oleaje, idóneo para el esnórquel y el baño de tarde. Su sendero costero invita a caminar bordeando los acantilados mientras el sol se oculta sobre el mar.

A spot of yellow-hued volcanic rock and calm waters, ideal for snorkelling and a swim at sunset. Its coastal path invites you to stroll along the cliffs as the sun sets over the sea.
