One week of x .london down, one to go!

A dream to teach yoga in such a beautiful place, with the loveliest of staff, and with my mate as my plus 1 ✨

We’ve laughed, snuggled with and nearly killed the resident cat (she’s alive don’t worry ), napped, overdone it at the buffet, played cards, lost our s**t at the hotel disco, watched the most beautiful sunsets and generally had a lovely old time.

Very grateful for these moments and experiences I am gifted in my life.

About a month ago I said a little prayer to Es Vedra (as I do) and I asked the universe for more fun in my life because everything was feeling a bit serious and overwhelming. And when you ask for what you want and be open to receive it, the universe works very quickly.

I didn’t just ask for what I wanted , I said Thankyou and felt grateful everyday for having it. And I have to say this month has been one of the funnest months I have had in a very very long time.

When I look through these pictures it looks like what used to be a holiday album for me, but this is actually my life right now and for that I am so so thankful and everyone who’s in it.

Get clear on what you want, ask for it, feel and believe you already have it and then let go of how or when it may come to you. Because trust me, it may come in a way or a moment you could never plan.

Story time:

When I was in dancing school and college, every time I had to get up and sing in front of people, my lip used to shake, my throat used to close up and I used to feel so incredibly nervous and no amount of singing lessons seemed to shake it.

I knew I had a nice voice (defo not a west end lead that’s for sure) and I knew I loved singing so much. I used to spend hours in my bedroom listening to my favourite pop singers and then recording myself singing with them 😂 it really was my happy place along with dancing.

But as soon as it became a ‘performance’ I couldn’t do it. I remember at 19 years old my college singing teacher told me ‘to get over my cheap self’ because I cried when I had to get up in front of my class to sing! Welcome to MT college guys 😂

So I decided to hide my voice away unless I was in the car on my own or incredibly drunk on karaoke (mic hog).

I am now trying to reconnect with my voice in a more authentic way and I’ve known I wanted to combine it with sound healing for a long time and have finally made it happen this year. And removing the performance element has allowed me to see singing and the voice as a healing tool rather than something that needs to be judged and that is really liberating.

Here’s to doing the things we love and that bring us joy without having to be perfect 🙏🏻

Life of late…

The theme in my life of late has been, im overwhelmed, im not coping, it feels too hard, it feels too much. And it immediately makes me think oh well then I must be doing something wrong because surely everybody else’s lives feel easy? Yea ok sure 😐👍🏼

Then I remembered that every single week pretty much I do something that scares me, or that is challenging. I never shy away from hard tasks I say yes even if im s**tting myself. I am constantly challenging myself. I moved country completely alone with no plan and am setting up a new life, learning a foreign language, making new friends OF COURSE IT IS GOING TO FEEL CHALLENGING. But whats the alternative? Stay small? Never grow or step outside of your comfort zone?

From now on I am shifting from I am overwhelmed to I am brave and courageous, and from life feels a lot to I am growing and evolving everyday. Remembering there are the most beautiful moments to be found in between it all. And the polarity is just part of life.

If you feel the same, then remember if you’re being challenged and you’re stepping into your fear then you’re exactly where you’re supposed to be. Because we most definitely are not here to stay small! We are here to shine our light and share our gifts with world ✨
