Horsewood Chambre d hote We are based in the Creuse area of France in a small rural village called Merinchal. We have two d Home:
Our home is set in the rural village of Merinchal.

We have 11 hectares of land around the house and a wood to explore, so plenty of space to leg stretch. There are plenty of lanes and tracks to walk in the area if your up for a longer leg stretch. Also the Creuse is known for its amount of lakes of which many you are able to swim in. Pets:
At Horsewood we have a mixture of animals, horses, chickens, ducks, cats and dogs and so unfortunately we can

not allow people to bring their own pets. Meals:
Being a Chambre d' hote, we can only legally provide breakfast for guests. However, there is a good restaurant 10 min drive away. Our breakfasts consist of a selection of cheese,cold meats,yoghurt, conserves,bread,croissants, coffee,tea and fruit juice. Price :
The price is 55 Euro for the room which sleeps 2 people. This also includes breakfast as above. It is also possible to offer a two course evening meal at 20 Euro per person.

Hi, well we have been very busy this year and we have extended our kitchen/dining area. Not quite finished, but just about there. We have moved our nearly 3m dining table into the new dining area which now provides a great social aspect to meal times. Also still progressing with our outdoor cooking area.

Well, after our hectic harvesting of hay, we are now quite busy with various guests and who have also been very interesting people. Despite covid, the French people are travelling within their own country and making the most of the most beautiful places around here.
