It’s been a while since we posted on here. We finally managed to visit Provence after a 3 year absence. 😁 🍷 🧀 🤩 🎉 🍷 🥰

Whilst we were there, we had fun styling up a few parts of the house. We also did some prep for the forthcoming bathroom renovation later this year.

We hope our Summer 2022 guests have great, fun and relaxing breaks at our home from home.

So we were very pleased to hear today that France has been added to the list of ‘safe’ destinations from Scotland - with no quarantine required in either direction. 🎉

Our little home is in the Vaucluse region which has seen very little impact from Covid-19 throughout the crisis. New daily cases are in single figures across the whole region. The Vaucluse has been a ‘Green’ region by the French government’s classification for quite some time now.

Shops, bars, cafes, markets and restaurants are open with all the appropriate hygiene measures. Mostly though we like to just spend our evenings on our own terrace gazing at Mont Ventoux with a nice glass of wine and a home cooked meal.

With the Tour de France visiting the area in early September, the flights to France being very reasonable and the weather usually warm and dry - is this the time to visit la belle Provence? 🇫🇷 🍷 🥘 🚲 🇫🇷

We had a nice surprise this morning from AirBNB. After just a year of being an AirBNB host we have achieved Superhost status. 🥳 🎉 🥳 We are over the moon to have achieved this so quickly.

With things gradually returning to near normal in France, we’re looking forward to welcoming guests for a well deserved holiday across the summer months. The pool is open, the wine is chilled and we have just one free week all summer (plenty availability in September though). 🍷 🥘 🇫🇷

We’ve had a busy wee February at the Hameau with lots of guests enjoying the Provençal winter and cosy nights round the log burner!

Once the snow thaws in April, the Col of the (in)famous Mont Ventoux opens again! This is an ideal time to tackle this hors categorie climb (that features regularly on the Tour de France) before the hot summer days kick in!

Can we let you into a secret?

Provence might be famed for its long, hot summers, but in winter it’s a great place for snowy walks, cosy log fires and scrumptious comfort food.

And with 300 days of sunshine a year even the winter skies are Provençal blue!

Another delighted guest has left the house today! Delighted to be getting such positive feedback in our first year on AirBNB.

"Very nice stay at Chez Deborah, the swimming pool of the residence is large, the view of Mont Ventoux is breathtaking and the atmosphere is warm. Nicole, who does the housework, is adorable! I recommend without hesitation!

Five minutes drive (or a 20 min run downhill) from the bastidon you will find the Touleranc Gorge. A scramble / swim up the gorge is always a highlight of our time here - such a great way to spend time with nature whilst keeping cool.
