Just one of the many walking paths that you can access when you stay at Le Petit Bijou Azur. The Sentier du Littoral is a network of trails all along the Riviera and this portion goes around the St. Jean Cap Ferrat peninsula.
Just 20 minutes from Nice, Saint Jean Cap Ferrat still feels untouched by time. This peninsula is known for its coastal path that wraps around the entire cape with views like this the whole way. It is one of the few places on the French Riviera where you can walk for miles and hear more waves than traffic.
This stretch is part of the Sentier du Littoral, a walking path that locals use year round. It stays close to the water, cutting past rocky coves, pine trees, and quiet corners that never show up on most itineraries. You do not need to hike hard to get views like this, which is part of the appeal.
What surprises people is how calm it feels compared to nearby spots like Monaco or Cannes. There are villas hidden above the cliffs, but down at sea level it is just you, the path, and the sound of the water hitting the rocks.
If you go, wear proper shoes and give yourself time. The full loop takes a few hours, but even a short section is worth it. Early morning or late afternoon is when it feels at its best.
