Sea Brae - Self Catering Holiday Let

Sea Brae - Self Catering Holiday Let If you are looking for a holiday in a house with really stunning sea views, this is the one! The house offers spacious and attractive accommodation.

Located at the end of a quiet cul-de-sac in the popular village of Crail and backing on to the sea, it enjoys uninterrupted panoramic views to the Isle of May and beyond. Features include the lounge with patio doors leading into the superb conservatory from which the views can be enjoyed on three sides. Crail is a very sought after and picturesque old fishing village. At its heart, and clustered a

round the ancient harbour, are the distinctive stone houses with crow-stepped gables and pantiled roofs. Local amenities include shops, hotels, library, beaches, two golf courses and access to the Fife Coastal Path (Just yards from the house!). Crail is only nine miles from the historic university town of St Andrews with its world famous championship golf courses, fine shopping, beaches, restaurants, museums and theatre.

Dear All,
We are due to begin renovation work this month, so, sadly, will be ceasing our holiday let business until further notice.

Hello all guests, friends and family!
I do apologise for the lack of communication, but we are in the process of looking to the future. We have plans for Sea Brae, which are winging their way for council approval as I write, This could mean a long wait of course!
However, we are not taking bookings for next year - 2020 - as we expect to be able to start the renovations and extension work (after the season ends this November or at latest, early in the New Year.
All being well, we could be retiring to Crail before the end of next year.
(On the other hand - "The best laid plans"....and aw that...")
We've been so lucky with our guests over the last seven years and appreciate all your wonderful messages, notes and reviews - you've all made the experience so very worth while, and I do hope that any of you returning to holiday in Crail after this year, will look us up - so many of you have become friends! Thanks again.

January 2019 already! I hope all our guests had a lovely festive time and are looking forward to their holiday in Crail again this year!
Sea Brae is in remarkable condition considering how many guests we had week on week - thank you for your kind and thoughtful care while you were in the property - very much appreciated.🏠
All the more reason for me to make sure the house is in tip top condition again for the coming season.πŸ§ΉπŸ› πŸ’β€β™€οΈ

That's us fully booked until the beginning of November 2018. Thereafter, we close until the end of January 2019. I can't believe how fast this year has gone! The weather has been wonderful, and our guests and other holiday-makers have been loving it all - some of our guests have been able to watch dolphins from the conservatory!

24/02/2018

We've only a handful of weeks available between now and November still unbooked, so looks like another busy season ahead! I'm looking forward so much to welcoming all our guests to Sea Brae this year, and especially our returning guests - you know who you are! - always interesting, always a real pleasure. x

I saw the miniature Kelpies in Edinburgh last year, and they made me want to see the full sized statues in Falkirk. However, we still haven't managed to fit in the trip! It will be lovely to see them in St Andrews, and hear how much Sea Brae guests enjoy seeing them too. Perhaps you will be inspired to visit the real thing while on holiday.

Miniature versions of the stunning Kelpies statues will ride into St Andrews this summer. The Kelpies Maquettes will go on display on the Bruce Embankment in July. Crafted by Scottish sculptor Andy Scott the smaller cousins of the world’s largest equine sculptures in Falkirk have toured the globe, p...

We are off and running!
Our first guests for 2017 have been welcomed to Sea Brae and are settling in comfortably.
The front of the house is still looking rather bare, but hopefully the replacement shrubs will grow quickly providing a fresh and softening effect.
We're waiting for a dry spell of weather so we can lay a protective (green plastic) mesh on the front lawn. This should allow guests' vehicles more space to park and turn, without spoiling the 'lawn' effect.
I do hope our first guests enjoy their stay - it would be such a good start to the season ahead!

Windows painted, monoblock driveway cleaned, shrubs planted, leylandi trimmed - just need new fence erected now. I hope to clean out the garage and tidy the shed while the weather is mild.
I've just taken delivery of some 'grass protection mesh' which I hope to peg down on the front garden. This should allow more room for parking and turning.
My sister & brother-in-law have just spent ten days at Sea Brae and have enjoyed the de-stressing ambiance! We will be fully operational by the end of January, and have 23 weeks booked for 2017 already!
I still have to update the photographs...watch this space!
