Remember tonight is the night the clocks go forward!

Many people don't enjoy losing the hour of sleep when the clocks go forward but personally I look forward to it every year. It signals the start of longer, lighter days. Up here, it can be light until midnight on the longest day in June. The spring forward of the clocks also hopefully signals the start of the warmer weather! The Cairngorms National Park is so beautiful in the spring time. 😍

Did you know there are feral goats here in the Cairngorms? 🐐

Turns out it’s not just roe deer, red deer, pine martens, badgers, mountain hare, rabbits, red squirrels, Scottish wildcats, and otters you can see when you come to visit!

None of these will be taking up residence in your holiday home though – that we can guarantee!

Are you a twitcher? 🐦 Then you won’t need us to tell you all about the amazing birds we have here in the Cairngorms National Park.

If you’re new to the world of bird-watching look out for golden eagles, white-tailed eagles, ptarmigan, crested tit, Scottish crossbill, capercaillie and black grouse, we also have a plethora of incredible wildlife here, pretty much all year round.
