Gearing up for the 2026 season: this means me juggling paint brushes and deep-cleaning carpets etc.
The hedge alongside the garden is absolutely whirring with sparrows! So many species of birds are in decline but we have an increasing population of blue t**s, great t**s (possibly coal t**s - they are so fast I can’t tell the difference), long-tailed t**s, blackbirds, robins, nuthatch etc etc…
Costs us a fortune in feed but so worth it!
Every morning we hear the pair of Raven gronk gronk across the fields, and at night the Tawny owls are busy calling to one another.
We hope our guests enjoy the birds as much as we do - more bird tables are planned! 😊😊

The lodge is beautiful with sumptuous bedding, inviting hot tub, toasty wood burner and views to take your breath away. Whether staying a weekend, or longer, everything you could need is provided for you from white goods to whisks!!! The lodge is perfectly located to allow visits to areas of beauty around the Jurassic Coast. I'm already checking dates to ensure yet another visit”

The bees are very busy and we hope to harvest the honey soon.
June, July and August and most of September are fully booked but we are taking later autumn and winter bookings at special prices for special guests!
