When the pub is closed, our management and supervisor team make the most of the time by training and expanding their knowledge of wines.
A huge thank you to Nick at House of Townsend for a lovely and informative few hours. We learned valuable insights that we can share with our customers, helping us continue to enhance their experience at The Hope & Anchor.
The delicious lunch was a wonderful added bonus, and we are very grateful for the warm hospitality and for looking after us so well throughout the day.
Continuous learning is an important part of what we do, and opportunities like this help us deliver even better service to our guests. 🍷

Just a reminder that we are closed today following a busy Bank Holiday weekend to give our hardworking team a well-earned break.

KIDS EAT FREE
We are open today and serving food between 12pm and 5pm.
With the sunshine set for a beautiful day, it’s the perfect time to relax and let our team take care of you. We’re offering our Kids Eat Free promotion today when dining with an adult ordering a main meal.
Walk-ins are welcome, but availability is limited due to a high number of advance bookings, so early arrival or reserving a table is strongly recommended.

We can hardly believe the timing of this sunshine arriving right on a Bank Holiday weekend, but we’re making the most of it here.
