You can be sure that you will be well looked after at the New Bond Hotel, which is a late 1800 Victorian B&B catering for singles, couples and families. We don't take bookings for hen parties, stag dos or young farmers event. Our "quiet hours" go from 10pm to 7am, since we accommodate families and children, and next door is a residential property. There is no curfew, we just ask you to be consider
ate towards others when you come in or leave, and to please keep the noise levels to a minimum. We are on major booking sites, but also sell our rooms through this page or by contacting us on 07491 333534. Booking with us directly is cheaper than through booking sites. We regularly have promotions, such as Sunday to Friday, where you stay 5 nights and only pay for 4. This applies to weeks without bank holidays, for school holidays please contact us directly, as it will depend on availability. We require valid card details and full address of the main card holder upon booking, and will charge you for the 1st night of your stay. This deposit is REFUNDABLE UP TO 14 (fourteen) days before check-in, anytime after that dates can only be changed in case of special circumstances (such as with documented proof of illness), but no refund will be given. Payments can be made over the phone with a valid card or by bank transfer. Any remaining balance due can be paid in cash, card or transfer when you check-in. Online you will find we have 2 rates for each room - which means it is up to you whether you wish for your stay to include breakfast or not. You can select either when you book, online or directly with us, and there is a price difference of £5pppn in the room rate. This allows those with less of an appetite in the mornings to sleep in, paying of course less for their night's stay. We cater for regular appetites, as well as vegan and vegetarian choices. Please let us know at time of booking, so we can discuss what is available for you. Our breakfasts must be pre-ordered the day before, a form will be made available to you for that purpose. Breakfast is served on the ground floor breakfast room. Times vary depending on guest requests, on weekends we often are asked to serve breakfast a bit later, so anytime between 8.30 and 9.30am. During busy times we serve breakfast in 2 shifts to ensure we can offer you quick and smooth service. Parking vouchers are available at ours at the same price we purchase them from the council, £5 for 24hrs. Please let us know in advance whether you require parking for the duration of your stay with us. The car park is a 4-minute walk away on Banks Street, which runs parallel to Lord Street, where we are on. Of course, if you are lucky you might find free street parking. It gets more difficult the closer it gets to summer season (council restrictions on single yellow parking lines during season). WiFi is available throughout the whole property, and is free of charge. We do not allow take aways or deliveries of hot food to the rooms. The potential of staining linens, bedding or both is high, and we have recently had all our rooms re-carpeted at significant cost, and have purchased new quality bedding and towels to update our linen stock, as well as new mattresses, beds and furniture where required. If you do wish to eat a take-away, our common areas are open until 10pm, you are most welcome to sit at one of the breakfast tables to have your take away, and then wrap your leftovers in the take away bag and leave them for us to dispose of. Our property is NO SMOKING / NO VA**NG throughout. Smoking in your room incurs a penalty of 3 nights stay (to allow the room to air before and after deep cleaning, which causes loss of revenue, as well as the cost of laundering all bedding, duvet, pillows and curtains after your stay), and you will be asked to leave the building if any smell is detected coming from your room during your stay. Our smoke sensors are new, sensitive and periodically inspected. We ask you to please be considerate towards your accommodation choice, which in our case is also our home. We unfortunately do not have disabled access/facilities, as the property doesn't have ground floor guest rooms or a lift. All rooms are distributed between 1st and 2nd floors, with the following rooms on each floor:

Our check in times start at 2pm and finish at 7pm. Delays due to traffic or circumstances which are out of your control are not a problem for us, as long as you keep us updated on your travel progress. If rooms are ready early and / or available, you are welcome to a free early check in. We have a detailed, time consuming cleaning and disinfection procedure, which takes us longer to do in current times, so luggage storage is unfortunately not something we are able to do pre-check in. There is just not enough of us to get the property ready on time for check in, if we have to keep answering the door at different times. We will reinstate this service though as soon as things normalise again. We love furry family members, but unfortunately some people are allergic to pet hair, and as much as you can clean a room, it only takes 1 hair to cause problems. We have therefore made the decision of not accepting bookings with pets. Check-out times are between 10 and 10.30am.
