New pub opened in Bodiam this season. Interesting combination of traditional English and Greek menus. Well recommend to guests of The Bodiam Coach . Opened by an enthusiast of good beer and Greek food Mr Trevor Duck….. yes he named the pub after himself ! 😂😅 We wish all involved the best of luck with all their hard work 😎👍

Trouble unfolds at Bodiam 1940’s event as RN Commandos secure The Bodiam Coach as a HQ !

Early Sunday morning RN Commandos commence manoeuvres. On securing the decking it becomes apparent that the facilities of Bodiam Coach are far superior to their field kitchen and so potential enemy occupants are routed out of hiding. Bewildered guests Adrian and Kate Lockwood ( who only arrived late the night before) are placed under interrogation before breakfast. Eventually the poor guests who came specially for a day at KESR 40’s event are allowed to to remain until 10am Monday morning, after which their lives will be in the hands of…..The Cleaners ! 😅😂😎

Camping coaches, redundant railway carriages converted to provide holiday accommodation, were introduced in 1933. The relatively low rent of about £3 per week made them immediately popular, and soon each of the 'Big Four' railway companies offered camping holidays. By 1935 there were over 200 camping coaches located at 160 holiday destinations across the United Kingdom.
