There’s just something about cooking and eating outdoors that makes life feel a little slower, a little happier and a whole lot tastier.

This week is National BBQ Week and honestly,
we are here for it.

At Tawnamoor Rural Retreat every cottage has its own BBQ, because food just tastes better outside with birds singing, a glass in hand and nowhere else you need to be.

Whether it’s breakfast in the sunshine, burgers at golden hour or marshmallows under the stars, outdoor cooking has a way of bringing people together and helping us properly switch off.

And for our retreat guests and events, our outdoor kitchen space at the wilderness spa and events area is all about shared experiences, relaxed conversations and creating moments people remember long after the plates are cleared.

Sometimes the best memories are the simplest ones.

Good food. Fresh air. Great people. Cornwall at its best.

Something interesting is happening right now more people are turning to bird watching as a way to slow down, switch off and reconnect with the world around them.

It’s simple, calming and surprisingly grounding. And for many, it’s becoming less of a hobby and more of a reset.

At Tawnamoor Rural Retreat, we see this every day how quickly the noise fades when you’re surrounded by space, stillness and nature doing its thing just outside your door.

Today at Tawnamoor, we were pleased to host the Elite Club CEO and Directors Lunch, bringing together senior leaders for a relaxed and insightful afternoon.

We were especially pleased that Emma, was the main speaker and shared her perspectives, sparking thoughtful discussion among the attendees.

It was a valuable opportunity for open conversation, idea sharing and strengthening connections in a collaborative setting and we hope to welcome them back soon.
