Last night a German number popped up on the phone: “Hallo, this is Thomas, remember we visited in 2023?! We are coming again, see you soon!”

The three VWs from 2023 had grown to five this time, and judging by the photos in their old scrapbook, our trees have grown too!

So good to see them all again, bringing a little colour to this green neighbourhood. Happy trails, our friends!

David, Ben, Adam and Jude made a wonderful hammock camp in the woods over the weekend. The morning frost didn’t make it through the canopy, and snuggly hammocks and a warm fire turned a little patch of woodland into a gorgeous temporary home 🔥

Five years ago we were planting saplings and deciding (with the help of ) where campers would sleep, before we left the rest of the meadow to grow naturally. Now a mowed grass field has become a fluffy, mazy haven for birdlife, deer and this Spring, monster hares, with grass pitches surrounded by screens of maturing trees and bushes.
