Our story: restoring , one Limestone at a time.

The original walls are being brought back by hand, traditional Lime pointing, worked stone by stone by the craftsmen who know these buildings best.

"We're 99.9% at that point where we have got what was lost, and I think that is absolutely fantastic. We are protecting the heritage of the people who have come before us."

Follow Nick Mcallistar, Midlands Roofing and Restorations Ltd, into the heart of the restoration.

Why we chose Windermere?

Set among the lakes and fells, Elysium Hotel Windermere will breathe new life into a landmark that has welcomed visitors since 1847.

Think mornings on the water, afternoons exploring the landscape and evenings spent dining well, before retreating to the rooftop spa above it all.

A new way to experience one of Britain's most beautiful destinations.

Elysium Windermere. Coming 2027.
