Our hearts sank today by what we found when visiting the site. Over the summer, one of our glamping guests chose to throw their rubbish over the fence by the car park, plastic, glass, and food packaging, left scattered in a corner of the farm we treasure.
As custodians of this land, we put huge effort into caring for the fields, the wildlife, and the animals who live here. Seeing litter tossed carelessly into their space feels like a small heartbreak. Especially when we provide bins and recycling points in both our shop and accommodation. It’s not just untidy. It’s dangerous. One curious sheep or goat only needs to nibble a packet or a shard of plastic, and suddenly we’re facing a very poorly animal and an emergency vet visit.
We love this place, it is our home. It is where our animals graze and people come to rest. We ask all visitors to help us look after it. Please dispose of your waste properly. It takes seconds, and it keeps our animals safe, our fields beautiful, and our small family business thriving. Please leave no trace.
