🐾 WE NEED YOUR HELP! Past, present & future guests! 🌿

Our lawn mower has finally reached the end of its days, so we're faced with a bit of a dilemma here at Easy on the Wye Shepherds Hut ! 🤔

Do we invest in a traditional ride-on mower 🚜 or take the plunge and get a robot mower 🤖?

Now, we know what we think… but what really matters is what YOU, our guests, think! ❤️

One of our biggest questions is… would a robot mower scare your dog? 🐶

Our own dog seems absolutely fine with them, but we know all dogs are different, and we want to make sure we're making the right choice for everyone who comes to stay with us.

So, we'd love to hear from you!

🐾 Would your dog be happy with a little robot whizzing around the lawn?

🤔 Would you have any concerns about a robot mower while staying here?

🌿 Or would you prefer us to stick with a traditional ride-on mower?

We want Easy on the Wye to be as lovely an experience for our four-legged guests as it is for their humans, so your opinions really will help us make this decision!

What was the most difficult time of your life?

This is mine. We finally had planning permission back for the Hut.

Everything was ready to go. Baby was due. A fortnight after I had our second child, we are full go on the hut, working on broken sleep, and my mother is rushed to hospital.

A month after our daughters birth, my mother passed away.

Trying to juggle a new baby, grief and setting up the hut both with the building work, getting the items for the hut, setting it up online, creating the website. It was not easy.

🍂 Are you ready for cosy autumn days yet, or are you still clinging onto summer? ☀️

There’s something about this time of year that makes you want to slow down a little…

Crisp mornings, leaves changing colour, darker evenings, wrapping up for a walk and then coming back to get cosy by the log burner. 🔥📖

And of course… sinking into the hot tub while the evening air gets cooler. 🛁✨

We might love summer, but there’s something pretty special about autumn at Easy on the Wye. 💛

Have you found any animals in odd places recently? Or done anything daring to rescue them?

Last week, we had a dragonfly visit us in our kettlebells class (not near any water we are aware of). I ended up crawling under tables to open the window and let it out! It was flying everywhere except the door to get out. 🤣 Of course I had to help it escape.
