We’re delighted that Cherry Tree Cottage is now listed by National Trails as a place to stay when walking the King Charles III England Coast Path.

The coast path around Flamborough is quite spectacular with towering chalk cliffs, hidden coves, sweeping sea views and some wonderful wildlife along the way. And from the cottage, you can simply set off on foot and explore.
Whether you’re planning a walking break or just fancy a few days by the sea with some beautiful coastal walks thrown in, Cherry Tree Cottage makes a lovely little base.

That's it for this year folks!

And just like that, the puffins have left RSPB Bempton Cliffs for another year.

If you managed to spot one over the summer, we hope you found it every bit as magical as we always do.

But don't put away the binoculars just yet, Bempton Cliffs is still a spectacular place to visit. The chalk cliffs are as beautiful as ever and there's still plenty of seabirds to enjoy, with gannets, fulmars and herring gulls still very much in residence.

Happy Yorkshire Day from Cherry Tree Cottage!
From village greens and rolling countryside to dramatic cliffs and sea air, we feel very lucky to have the best of Yorkshire right on our doorstep here in Flamborough.
There really is nowhere quite like it. 💛

A little seasonal hazard at Cherry Tree Cottage 🍎

Our apple tree is currently dropping fruit rather enthusiastically, so we’ve added a small warning for guests and are asking everyone to park forward of the tree where possible.

One of the less glamorous realities of having a beautiful old fruit tree in the garden, but we wouldn’t be without it. Hopefully there’ll be enough good apples left for a crumble or two!
