Cabot Tower is situated in the park on Brandon Hill behind 4 Berkeley Square . It can be viewed from Studios 8,12 and 15.
The tower was built in the 1890s to commemorate the 400th anniversary of the journey of John Cabot in the ship the Matthew from Bristol to land which later became Canada. There are two viewing platforms where balconies with wrought iron railings overlook the city, the higher of which is approximately 334 feet (102 m) above sea level (opening times apply, closed on Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Year's day).
