One for the calendar! 🐾

Frenchie Fest 2026 is coming to the New Forest Showground, near Brockenhurst, on Saturday 3 October 2026. Expect fantastic vendors, themed games, agility courses and plenty of fun for your four legged friends. There'll also be bouncy castles, games stalls and face painting for the little ones, plus entertainment for the grown ups too.

Making a weekend of it? The closest dog friendly Camping New Forest campsites are Holmsley and Setthorns. Both offer electric pitches, while Holmsley also has excellent facilities including hot showers, toilets and an onsite shop for all your camping essentials.

FIRE SAFETY UPDATE

As of 20 August, on all 10 Camping New Forest campsites portable gas camping stoves are now permitted, but BBQ's remain banned until further notice.

These restrictions are in place to help protect our guests, our staff and the New Forest, following a significant heathland fire and a number of additional fires.

🚫 The following remain prohibited:
• Charcoal BBQs
• Disposable BBQs
• Gas BBQs
• Campfires
• Fire pits
• Solid-fuel cooking equipment
• Liquid-fuel cooking equipment
• Other naked flames

The situation is being kept under constant review by Forestry England and the emergency services. We’ll update you as soon as there are any changes.

If you're staying with us over the next few days, here's a quick update before you travel.

We're pleased to say that all Camping New Forest campsites currently remain open and check-in is operating as normal.

Due to the ongoing wildfire response, some roads in the New Forest are currently closed, so please allow extra time for your journey and follow any signed diversions where necessary.

Important reminder: BBQs, campfires, stoves and all outdoor cooking equipment remain temporarily prohibited across all of our campsites while the current wildfire risk remains exceptionally high.

We know this isn't ideal, but these temporary measures are in place to help protect our guests, our staff and the of course the New Forest we all know and love.

Finally, we'd like to say a huge thank you to the firefighters and everyone else working tirelessly to protect our beautiful National Park. Your hard work and dedication are hugely appreciated.

Thank you for your understanding and support. We look forward to welcoming you safely.
