Seal Shore Campsite, Kildonan has officially opened for the season today—and we can’t wait to welcome you back.
We’ve been busy over the winter with some fantastic upgrades to make your stay even more comfortable:
✨ Newly renovated shower block with brand new sinks, taps, heaters, hand dryers, hairdryers, and mirrors
✨ New washing area
✨ A dedicated drying room—perfect for wet gear after a day exploring
✨ A brand new day room with bar seating—ideal for checking emails or charging your phone
✨ A quiet day room for relaxing, reading, or watching TV
✨ Newly stocked shop with essentials and treats
You’ll still find the same warm welcome and our stunning location waiting for you.

🌊 We’re Back! 🌊

We’re delighted to let you know that Seal Shore Campsite, Kildonan will reopen on 27th March – and we think you’re going to love the changes we’ve made!

Over the winter we’ve been busy refurbishing our shower blocks, including:
✨ Brand new sinks and showers
✨ Fresh décor
✨ New hairdryers, mirrors and hand dryers

We’ve also added a new day room with bar-style seating – the perfect place to relax, charge your phones or laptops, and catch up on social media.

We can’t wait to welcome you back to the shore. 🌅

Kildonan Village Hall Craft Fair – Sat 29th November | 11am–3pm
We're on the lookout for crafters, makers, bakers and charities to join our upcoming craft fair! If you create it, bake it, craft it or support a cause — we want you there!
🧶 Pottery, jewellery, art, candles, cakes, bakes, edible treats…
🎁 Tombola and charity stalls also very welcome!
If you’ve got something wonderful to share, this is the perfect place.

Don’t forget Kildonan Bonfire and Fireworks on Wednesday 5th November. Hot food will be served, followed by bonfire and fireworks on the beach. No better place to be!

As the sun sets on our final day of the season...
We want to send a heartfelt thank you to everyone who visited Seal Shore Campsite in 2025. Whether you stayed for a night or a week, shared stories by the sea, or just popped by to soak in the view — you’ve all been a special part of this year.
We’re closing the gates for now, but already looking forward to welcoming you back when we reopen at the end of March 2026. Until then, may your memories of the shore carry you through the winter 💙

The wild side of island life! Storm Amy rolled in today, bringing powerful winds and dramatic seas right to our doorstep here at Seal Shore Campsite.
We’re safe and sound, but nature reminded us just how raw and beautiful the Isle of Arran can be.

It’s Helen’s last day working at Seal Shore Campsite today. But only because it’s nearly the end of the season! She’ll be back next year, part-time again. Seal Shore campsite has been an important part of her Arran journey. She stayed in a house behind the campsite in 2003, the very first time her and her husband ever visited Arran. Then later, they started camping at the site. They were staying on the campsite when they first saw the plot of land they later built their forever home on, so to be part of the Seal Shore team now was meant to be! Here are a few of Helen’s photos of the campsite from when she was a visitor.
