From Winter plots to Scoring heights 🌱➡️🌼🌾

Dan, our assistant Oilseed R**e & Wheat breeder, out at the Wisbech trial site scoring the height of each variety. The second image takes us back to December at the same site. Today the OSR is now at the pod filling stage, showing just how quickly the season moves in the field.

Every growth stage is important as we assess performance across our breeding programme.

🌞 Have you picked your OSR variety yet?

NPZ are breeding against key threats including Phoma, Verticillium, Light Leaf Spot and TuYV now firmly established within the programme.

Recent introductions like Karat and Montana bring advanced resistance packages, combining RlmS and Rlm12 stem canker resistance with strong light leaf spot protection.

Alongside conventional double-zero types, NPZ UK also supports specialist markets with HEAR varieties such as Resort and Eriksen. Plus, clubroot resistant candidate Crown has continued closing the yield gap. 🌱
