So what do you get for your hundreds of pounds on a Lake View room at the Chateau Lake Louise?โฃ
โฃ
Well, you get a view. It's obvious, I know, but the view really is spectacular.โฃ
โฃ
You also get a rather compact room, although there's still enough space to move around in. A decent desk has bee squeezed in, as well as an enormous and very soft bed, as well as a coffee machine and a large TV - you can even control the TV from your smartphone. The bathroom is a little tight, but it's elegantly finished and has a great shower. The rest of the room has a minibar, a hairdryer, an iron and robes, along with everything else you expect from a luxury hotel.โฃ
โฃ
The hotel itself is superb. Public areas and grand and luxurious, while there's great dining options - pick from a Swiss-inspired fine dining room, an informal venue with lakeside views, or the more vibrant Alpine Social. That's where we ate, and we've literally nothing but praise for the food. A quick cocktail or two in the Lakeview Lounge finished the evening.โฃ
โฃ
There's so much more detail I could go into (the excellent staff, the selection of shops, the concierge, and so on) but for now just accept that, despite the significant cost of staying for a night, it's worth the full five starts from FlySleepGo.โฃ
