Myself, Abbi Tyson, Ken Birch and Eddie Johnson completed a 12,000ft tandem skydive today to raise much needed funds for the Donna Louise Children’s Hospice. After a false start due to the weather and much waiting we were freefalling for 7,000 feet at about 140mph and then the brakes were put on and we all glided back to earth and land gracefully :)
As you may be aware only 15% of funding for hospices is provided by the government and Donna Louise have to raise £2.5 million each year to enable them to provide care for the children with life limiting illnesses both at the hospice and in the community and much needed support for parents, siblings, friends and family. Is actually working in between chucking myself of buildings and out of Planes. The hotel refurbishment in Grimsby has gone well, just finished the communal areas on the Ground Floor and the reviews on booking.com are much better than before we started!! P.S. On 10/10/10 I did my parachute jump to raise funds for the Donna Louise Childrens Hospice, they need £2 Million per year to stay operational and get no government help. 12000ft jump, 50 seconds freefall, top speed 145 mph, what a rush!!! :) still not too late to sponsor me http://www.justgiving.com/donna-louise-skydive
