48 hours in the South Downs

Drop your bags, settle in and take the short 20-minute walk across the fields to The Hawkley Inn. Stay for a while or head back to the cabin with enough time to light the fire pit, make some s’mores and spend a long evening under the stars.

Wake up slow the next morning and spend the day exploring the beautiful walking routes that surround the cabins. Being in the heart of the National Park is exactly why we chose this spot.

After a day outdoors, fire up the BBQ, soak up the views and watch the valley turn golden as the sun sets.

Then it’s either one more night... or home, already planning your next off-grid escape

Dogs version of a perfect weekend in Dorset

You don’t have to leave the cabin for amazing views but the walks around Plush are something else. So unbelievably beautiful in every direction.

These sunny days are made for an escape and the dog knows it. Absolutely loving life out here.

Bank holiday Monday feels ✨

That gorgeous Cotswolds morning light and a book you’ve been meaning to finish for about six months.

Eventually you’ll get up to explore and find a pub lunch somewhere. But not yet.

The East Sussex countryside is special.

When the sun is *actually* doing its job the whole place gets a glow - the fields, the footpath and the views from the cabin windows

Just imagine this walk through the willow wood to the pub

A day exploring the Cotswolds villages and walking the countryside. Then back to the cabin with a bottle of something good and the sun doing this through the window. Can’t beat it.

Our favourite pubs near our East Sussex cabins

🍺 The Gun
A 15th century pub that used to be a courthouse that is on the Wealden Way. Delicious food with almost everything sourced within 25 miles. Low ceilings, exposed beams and a great beer garden.

🍺 The Six Bells
Licensed since 1730. Harvey’s Best on tap, live music, proper pub grub at old school prices. There’s a photo on the wall of it being voted best pub in England and honestly it’s hard to argue.

🍺 Gun Brewery Taproom
A craft brewery on Gun Hill. Twelve beers on tap, street food pop-ups, loads of cool events and amazing views.

Three very different pubs, all within walking distance of the cabins, all very dog-friendly.

Who says escapes are just for humans?

We believe the best escapes are the ones where your dog’s tail never stops wagging and your furry friend gets to lead the adventure.

Every single one of our cabins is purposefully designed to be dog-friendly, always 🐾

The best thing about our cabins isn’t the cabins. It’s the location.

Every spot we have has been chosen for the walks, the pubs, the countryside and the views.

Dorset is quite possibly THE best when it comes to walks from the cabin door.

Here are our favourites - all done straight from the doorstep, all with a pub stop included, and all dog-friendly.

Which one are you doing during your stay? Or maybe all three?! 🥾
