"MondayLights give a voice to all those who have a humanist attitude, humanitarianism, and aversion to racist, homophobic, anti-Semitic or anti-Semitic slogans. With numerous projects and actions, they set a sign against stranger hatred and solidarity for all people, "said the german politician Schäfer-Gümbel (Social Democratic Party) recently in front of the press. The makers of >MondayLights< ar
e deeply convinced that the vast majority of people are humanist instead of xenophobic, solidarity instead of selfish and at the same time often insecure rather than clearly oriented. That is why all these people are looking for an orientation, like the light of a lighthouse on the high seas, which indicates the right course for ships. Thus the participation in MondayLights is millions of people in the world so simple, so uncomplicated and important for millions of others at the same time. MondayLights wants to put an unmistakable sign with a light sea of apparently harmless small lights in windows, on balconies or public places, to connect people of all peoples, of all strata with a worldwide action and to them, and even more to all the undecided and hesitant, hope, confidence and quite real To give help. The initiative is aimed at raising awareness of society as a whole, above all for more information on the situation of poor, needy, marginalized and forgotten people. For this purpose, helpers and supporters use all access to public and private media, as well as contact with the local people, contacts with celebrities, their own events, projects, actions and measures involving volunteering by people of all age groups. A famous Asian proverb reads: "Give a fish a starving and he will be satisfied. Teach him fishing, and he will never go hungry. "
According to this maxim, the MondayLights initiative is active in Germany, Europe and worldwide. They support people around the world in war zones, crises or countries with no democratic power to mobilize their own resources. They provide people with the most basic needs for food, shelter and care during their journey, helping people to escape - and, of course, even to indigenous people, to lead a self-determined and humane existence in freedom and social security. MondayLights-projects are geared towards sustainability and want to offer solutions that contribute to sustainable development. Temporary projects are accompanied and supported by time-limited actions. The volunteer employees are understood as a bridge between wealthy and poor people. In eight main topics and related project groups, the international symbolism is transformed into real, non-profit work. For more information, see
