Did you know the enchanting Ffynone Waterfall is steeped in ancient legend?✨

In Welsh folklore, the shimmering pool beneath the falls is said to be an entrance to Annwn, the mystical Otherworld described in the legendary tales of The Mabinogion. A magical realm of beauty, abundance and eternal youth… if you believe the stories.

Reach it via a gentle woodland walk through the Ffynone Woods, winding beneath ancient trees before discovering a hidden cascade tumbling into a deep emerald pool. Mossy rocks, dappled sunlight, and the steady murmur of water make the scene feel timeless.

Legend says this valley is where Pwyll met Arawn, exchanging places with the ruler of Annwn for a year and some whisper the waterfall itself might hide a doorway to that mysterious realm.
