Celebrating new beginnings with The Order of Women Freemasons

On Sunday 11th October, saw Brothers from Amity/Simplicity Lodge who are members of The Order of Women Freemasons having their installation at Clifton Hall in Birkenhead.

A wonderful day was had by all in a most beautiful setting.

Over 157 years of accumulated Freemasonry experience!

On Tuesday 13th October saw a wonderful celebration at Combermere Lodge of Union No. 295 meeting at Macclesfield Masonic Hall.

Senior Cheshire Freemason Sebastian Daly presided over the celebration of not one, not two, but three significant Masonic anniversaries.

The Lodge met to recognise three Cheshire Freemasons who had each completed more than fifty years in Freemasonry: David Staines, Nick Wild and Arthur Roy Waller, who had between them accumulated more than 157 years of Freemasonry.

A wonderful meeting heard about different aspects of each members life and journey in Freemasonry supported by many visitors including many Senior Cheshire Freemasons including Ian Bailey.

🔥 Cheshire Freemasons Descend On The Big Smoke

On the 9th September saw 55 intrepid Cheshire Freemasons travel to London for the UGLE QC meeting in which the Pro Grand Master presided over a very interesting meeting, with quite a number of the Cheshire members being first time attendees.

At the relaxed Buffet lunch which followed at All Bar One in Covent Garden, five Cheshire Freemasons were presented with Masonic Passports which will keep a record of all their Masonic Visits.

The Masonic QC Coin was also presented for the very first time by the head of Cheshire Freemasons David Dyson to the lodge with the most members attending.

Although Four Cardinal Virtues Lodge No.979 were well represented with 6 members, they were pipped by Bridgegate Lodge who had a fantastic turnout of 8 members.

The next meeting of UGLE is on Wednesday 9th December. If you fancy a great Masonic Day out before Christmas and a chance to own a Masonic QC Coin look out for the details which will be out shortly

Think of Freemasonry like reading a great mystery book.

When you join and become an Entered Apprentice you are introduced to the plot. But, just when you think you’ve reached the end, you discover there’s another chapter left, the one that actually ties the plot together and gives you the answer to the mystery!

That’s this Chapter (the Royal Arch).

All the Companions gathered in this room have taken that journey and learned the answer for themselves, and you can too! 🟦🟥

🤝🇬🇧🇮🇪FREEMASONRY ACROSS BORDERS – A VERY SPECIAL INSTALLATION IN STOCKPORT! 🇮🇪🇬🇧🤝

Freemasonry knows no borders, and on Saturday 14th November, we’re set for a fantastic celebration of friendship, brotherhood and the bonds that unite Freemasons across the Irish Sea!

We are delighted to be welcoming 20 Brethren from Northern Ireland, including a former Head of the Londonderry and Donegal Freemasons, alongside senior Freemasons from Antrim, all under the Grand Lodge of Ireland.

They’ll be joining us to celebrate Dene Bonar’s Installation as Master of his Lodge, a particularly special occasion given Dene’s Northern Irish roots and his membership of Lodges in both Provinces

The visit follows Vernon Lodge’s trip from Stockport to Northern Ireland earlier this year, demonstrating how friendships forged through Freemasonry continue to grow, regardless of geography. 🤝

🔹 What is an Installation?

Every Freemasons Lodge is led by a Worshipful Master, a member elected to preside over its meetings, guide its activities and uphold its traditions. An Installation is the special ceremony where the incoming Master formally takes up that responsibility, usually for a year.

It’s one of the highlights of the calendar, made even more memorable when friends travel from far and wide to share the occasion.

With such a wonderful gathering of Brethren from both sides of the Irish Sea, this promises to be a truly memorable day.

➡️ This we reflect on a very important part of Freemasonry… Charity

😊 The Head of Cheshire Freemasons, David Dyson, updated everyone in attendance at the Annual General Meeting of Cheshire’s charitable efforts

🤩 We were delighted to hear that Cheshire is well on its way to raising £3.5 million by next year as part of our Festival. A 5 year effort by everyone across Cheshire Freemasons to raise money for hugely valuable charities and causes

🙌 We’d like to thank everyone who has played their part in raising a wonderful sum so far, and wish them the best of luck in their continuing efforts as we move into 2027 and the culmination of our Festival.

🙏 Thank you to everyone who attended the meeting and hope to see you next year!

We certainly think so… is highlighting an event carried out by Mentell along with Cheshire Freemasons this week.

Head of Cheshire Freemasons David Dyson was in attendance along with Senior Cheshire Freemasons Geoff Lloyd, Malcolm Lewis, Rick Robinson and Helen Barton of Mentell.
