saw Cheshire Brethren Enjoy a Fantastic Day at Grand Lodge

🚆 Around 40 Cheshire Freemasons travelled to London on Wednesday to attend the Quarterly Communication at United Grand Lodge of England, joining brethren from across the Constitution for another memorable occasion at Freemasons' Hall.

🌟The day began with the Quarterly Communication in Grand Lodge, providing an opportunity to witness the ceremonial splendour and traditions that make Freemasonry so unique.

🤝For many, these visits offer a chance not only to experience Grand Lodge proceedings first hand but also to spend time with friends from across Cheshire and beyond.

🍻Following the meeting, the Cheshire contingent gathered at Philomena's, directly opposite Freemasons' Hall, where refreshments and plenty of good conversation were enjoyed.

🍽️ The fellowship continued as the group made the short walk to Big Easy Covent Garden for lunch, where an excellent meal, plenty of laughter, and the usual good humoured banter ensured that everyone had a thoroughly enjoyable afternoon.

⏭️ A wonderful time was had by all, and our thanks go to everyone who attended and helped make the day such a success. We look forward to seeing even more Cheshire brethren join us on future visits to Grand Lodge.

to a fantastic day for the Motorsports Lodge charity run! 🚗

🚙 32 cars took part, from a 1963 Wolseley 1500 driven by Richard Huelin to a brand-new 2025 Mazda MX-5 driven by our newest member, Ste Wright.

🛣️ Competitors enjoyed a 75-mile tour of the beautiful Cheshire countryside, with a welcome stop at Walk Mill Café.

❓With 10 optional route questions, seven teams achieved full marks, leading to a tie-break based on the construction date of Beeston Castle (1220).

🏁Congratulations to Herbert Sturgess and Brian Green, who claimed victory in their 1970 University Motors MGC.

🎗️Thanks to everyone who supported the event, raising an incredible £1,200, shared equally between North West Air Ambulance, Cheshire & Staffordshire Blood Bikes, and the Cheshire 2027 Festival. 👏

🟦🟥 This takes us back to Tuesday 26th May. Which saw Chapter of Harmony host a visit from the Provincial demonstration team and gain not 1, not 2, but 3 new members! The evening was well attended and concluded with an Old English night. A truly magnificent way to finish the chapters season and great to see so many taking that next step in their journey! 🟥🟦

saw Alan Marchington celebrate the wonderful milestone of 60years in Freemasonry at Offerton Lodge

🐦‍🔥 Alan had been initiated into Freemasonry exactly 60 years ago to the day, into Phoenix Lodge of St. Ann, meeting in Buxton

🥈Although he joined Offerton Lodge in 1972 he has remained a member of both lodges.

🪑 The celebratory meeting attended by the Head of Cheshire Freemasons David Dyson and the Head of Derbyshire Freemasons Ian Copestake heard a resume of Alan’s life and journey in Freemasonry from Senior Cheshire Freemason Sebastian Daly.

🍽️ A wonderful evening was had by all topped off with an excellent 4 course meal at Stockport Masonic Guildhall.

⬅️ On the 10th April 1976 Mr Peter Martin was initiated into Stanley Lodge

⬇️On 2nd June 2026 Assistant Head of Cheshire Freemasons Sebastian Daly was pleased to present Peter with his Certificate on achieving 50 years in Freemasonry.

🧑‍🧑‍🧒‍🧒 Peter can no longer attend Lodge due to health reasons but the occasion was very intimate in the presence of his wife Sandra, daughter Julie and son Michael, also a member of Staley Lodge.

📜 The afternoon was made even more memorable when Peter was awarded the promotion to Past Provincial Senior Grand Warden, a huge honour within Freemasonry.

🟦🟥 One of the core values of Freemasonry is friendship and this we focus on one of the initiatives in the Royal Arch in Cheshire that promotes and reinforces the importance of that value to our organisation, by encouraging lots of visiting by members to other Chapters.

On Tuesday 26th May, a twelve strong party from Stone of Friendship Ezel Chapter 287 became the first chapter to claim the Royal Arch Travelling Sceptres when they visited Royal Cheshire Chapter 89, who were the first chapter to receive the Sceptres at our recent Royal Arch AGM. Leading the raiding party were Duncan Stephenson, the Head of the Royal Arch in Cheshire David Dyson and a past leader of the Province Keith Rogerson.

If you think your Chapter could put together a team and be the next chapter to claim the sceptres please contact Mark Higgins! Contact details can be found on the provincial website for Stone of Friendship Ezel Chapter, meeting at Stockport within Area 4. 🟥🟦

was with Chapter of Unity, as they hosted two truly inspiring talks from charities, supported by Cheshire Freemasons.

We heard from I AM - Celebrating Autism in Greater Manchester , an autism charity based in Stretford, who provide support, opportunities and a safe environment for autistic individuals and their families, helping people build confidence, independence and lasting connections within their community.

Also, Reuben's Retreat a remarkable charity that supports families of children living with complex illness, disability or bereavement. Their work provides counselling, respite and a place where families can simply breathe during the hardest of times.

Listening to the difference these charities are making is both humbling and uplifting.

We’re proud that support and donations received from Cheshire Freemasons goes a small way to supporting them

🟦🟥 This we couldn't help but revisit the recent investiture of Chris Renshaw into the Leadership of the Royal Arch in Cheshire. Chris has served the Province well for a number of years in his previous roles and we are really excited to see what comes next!

Chris was sure to thank his predecessor, the organising team and everyone present on the evening and was very keen to involve some newer Royal Arch Masons in the proceedings, showing how important those newer members are as the future of our organisation. Chris also set everyone present a challenge. That was to share the wonders of the Royal Arch with others, by encouraging at least one person to join this year... Are you up to the challenge? 🟥🟦
