A perfect potter round Petworth today!

Stylish Petworth is a short drive from Nest Stay and makes a perfect day out. I started with the Farmers Market, explored the wonderful array of independent shops, grabbed lunch at the The Hungry Guest and then did a gorgeous circular walk through the Shimmings Valley to idyllic hamlet Byworth and back to Petworth.

Ode to our tree surgeons Gary and Joe 🌳🌳 We bought this house 7 years ago with very little horticultural or land expertise. It was pretty overwhelming to start! I’m very grateful for all the guidance and learning I have had since then. The previous owners had a tree nursery so the garden was filled with interesting (but neglected) trees. Fortunately I met brilliant father-son duo who have been at my side to advise and tend to the trees ever since. They also answer their phone after high winds, and help with memorial plantings 😥 Best of all they let me ride their cherry picker!

My yoga class usually happens in the village hall, but in the recent heat we have relocated to our garden, and a few lucky Nest guests have been able to join for blissful evening practice. Big skies, warm breezes, grass underfoot, singing bowls interspersed with birdsong. Even an actual downward dog (Digby) in attendance! All very special.
