First time we noticed this honeycomb worm reef today!
Each worm builds a protective tube from sand and shell fragments where they live and feed, and together they form a reef that looks like honeycomb.
The worm is a filter feeder, extending feeding tentacles into the water column when the tide is in to catch floating particles of plankton or detritus.
Just don't stand on them, as you can crush the tube and destroy their habitat!
