We have noticed a couple of negative reviews circling around online from the bank holiday weekend and we would like to adress the issues raised. We want every Wellsprings experience to be phenomenal- fabulous food, spectacular views and glorious sunshine- the whole package! We are an independent family run business and specialise in ensuring all of our food is cooked from fresh. We really try our hardest so to hear such comments is very disheartening. Unfortunately, we do not have the amount of servers needed to cover such a busy shift at the very last minute, as a chain restaurant would have. We have also had to hire new starters due to the ongoing A Level exam season, plus lots of our experienced servers did decide to book well-deserved time off to spend the long weekend and the school holidays in the 30 degree heat with their loved ones. We are a hotspot for the sunshine and operating at full capacity means we can reach heights of up to 300 people in one sitting. Regarding the outdoor seating arrangements, it is first come, first serve and it is dining only during peak hours. We also only operate on certain balconies until the levels of servers needed to cover all areas has been reached. However, we do prioritise our valued customers who have booked in advance and allocate them the seating to make the most of their dining experience. Because of the volume of customers, we trialled a new system of payment in advance. We found that this didn't work and have decided to keep the system we have implemented for many years. Catherine, Zak and the team work extremely hard to ensure your dining experience is as smooth and enjoyable as possible. We do not appreciate the couple of targeted comments we have received about individual members of our team who are working extremely hard to make each shift run smoothly. We do realise that this is the minority of customers and we really appreciate the amount of lovely reviews we receive too. We know we are a special place to many people.
