Welcome to Sublet Rooms' official page!
Why are we here? Because finding an apartment sucks. Renting out your apartment also sucks! And we get it. We created this community to make the process of finding a new home, tenant, or roommate, just that bit easier. If that sounds awesome, you’re in the right place!
But wait – who are we? Sublet Rooms was created by a group of friends who have collectively moved countless times, across eight countries.
Our goal is to ease the whole process of apartment hunting, starting with connecting landlords with renters. We actively manage our groups on a daily basis.
Renters who are looking to rent an apartment or room:
✅ Tell us a bit about yourself, and what you’re looking for!
✅ Be as specific as possible! What dates? What kind of apartment? Which neighborhood? Any restrictions or particulars?
✅ Don’t reveal too much personal information right away – exercise common sense!
Landlords:
✅ Describe the apartment/house/room in as much detail as possible.
✅ Don’t forget to include price, dates, location, and any other important details.
✅ Pics, pics, PICS! A picture tells a thousand words, so 5 pics = 5000 words. 😉
✅ Avoid adding external links.
We work hard to keep this group a safe space for all our members. We ask that you:
➡️ Keep it kind.
Be courteous. Do not attack or harass other members, block admins, or be disrespectful.
➡️ Keep it relevant.
Please keep content relevant to the housing search. Content that is inappropriate, irrelevant, political, or religious in nature will be removed.
➡️ Keep it honest.
We have a zero tolerance policy for scammers and fraudsters. Our groups are meticulously combed on a daily basis, and suspected and reported members will be blocked without warning. Do note that Sublet Rooms does not directly manage any properties or know all of our users personally. For that reason, we ask our members to be alert and take standard security precautions.
➡️ Keep it clean.
We aim to create a community that is inclusive and open to people from a wide range of backgrounds and perspectives. Hate speech and swear words do not have a place here. Inappropriate content will not be tolerated and will be removed without warning.
➡️ Keep it compliant.
Safety and privacy are very important to us. Avoid posting screenshots that display personal information of other people or screenshots of content that violates Facebook’s community standards.
Members who violate these standards may be offered a warning and/or removed from the group so that this community remains a safe space for renters and landlords to connect. If you have any queries regarding the above,
