Hall, Stairs & Landing – Blyth

Large Hall, Stairs & Landing completed for our customer in Blyth.
The walls were thoroughly prepared, with minor imperfections filled and all surfaces dustless sanded to achieve the best possible finish. Caulking was also carried out where required before painting.

🔹 Walls: Johnstone’s Trade Acrylic Durable Matt, colour matched to Farrow & Ball School House White
🔹 Woodwork: Undercoated and finished with Johnstone’s Aqua Guard Satin
🔹 Handrail: Bradite OneCan Black Eggshell

Living Room & Kitchen Completed in Burradon
Another transformation completed for a returning customer in Burradon.

🔹 Walls thoroughly sanded using our dustless sanding setup, face-filled with Toupret filler and re-sanded ready for painting.
🔹 Dado rail, skirting, boxing and other areas all caulked and prepared for a clean, professional finish.
🔹 Walls finished in Johnstone's Trade Acrylic Durable Matt, colour matched to Dulux Natural Hessian.
🔹 Woodwork finished with Johnstone's Aqua Guard Satin for a durable, hard-wearing finish.

This week Jimmy is swapping his paint brush for sunglasses and overalls for olive oil. He's off to Greece for some well deserved sun, sand & sea.

So... I'm waving him off (with a little bit of envy 😁) and wish him the best holiday ever!

🏡 A Little Home Project of Our Own 🏡

We decided it was time to add a little cabin to the garden, creating a space we can hopefully enjoy for many years to come.

I enlisted the help of my daughter Bethany to get the cabin built — greatly appreciated! 👍🏻

Once the cabin was up, it was over to CW Electrical Services to take care of all the necessary electrical work. ⚡️

With that completed, it was back over to me for the final touches. 🎨
Exterior:
I chose Sadolin Superdec Opaque – Walnut, a highly flexible, water-based coating designed to expand and contract with the timber. Hopefully, this will help minimise the appearance of any movement as the timber responds to the changing seasons.

Interior:
For the inside, I went with the ever-reliable Osmo Wood Wax Finish – Transparent Oak, giving the timber a durable, hard-wearing finish while still allowing the natural character of the wood to show through.

I must admit, painting the inside took considerably longer than I expected! 😅 A lot of time was spent carefully working the finish into all those grooves, but it was definitely time well spent to achieve the finish I wanted.
All in all, a fair bit of hard work, but we're really pleased with how it's turned out. Hopefully, with the preparation, products and effort that have gone into it, it'll stand the test of time for many, many years. 👍🏻

Nice start to the week for myself 😁

This conservatory had the existing wallpaper stripped, walls sanded smooth and all necessary gaps caulked.
The customer supplied Grandeco Life – Cine Neutral (PP1211) wallpaper which I then hung. Giving the space a fresh new look.

Delighted to have received such lovely feedback from another happy customer.
