We're looking for someone friendly, enthusiastic, and reliable to work in our kitchen and join our close-knit team at The Mercat

A typical day might include baking scones, galettes, and oat slices, as well as preparing toasties, seasonal soups, and lovely, crunchy salads, all from Jess Elliott Dennison’s repertoire, with seasonal training provided by Jess (https://www.elliottsedinburgh.com/).

We’re a small, family-run business passionate about fresh, seasonal produce, amazing coffee, and artisan provisions.

One of the most common questions our guests ask is, “where do you source your art?” We’ve spent years building up our little collection. Picking things up at auctions, charity shops, antique centres, on holiday & more. Always keeping an eye out for pieces we love.
