Today we close the chapter on our little cottage 🥲🌻
Such mixed feelings as I put so much love into renovating this little Durham escape 🥲 Over the last year, we have welcomed guests from as far as California, China, Australia. Everyone has been so lovely and complimentary about the place. We’ve had guests return to stay multiple times and even leave me thank you gifts. I have been absolutely overwhelmed to receive an amazing 66 ⭐⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ reviews and continually reach ‘Superhost’ and ‘Guest Favourite’ status.
This project gave me my freedom and confidence back. I left a really toxic workplace to try something completely new and it’s been an amazing success. I did all the cleaning and management myself and think the personal touch really made the difference in our guest experience. But as of this week, life has taken me away from Durham… and I wouldn’t ever want anyone else to manage the place on my behalf. So today, our little cottage will become a lovely family home.
Next up: me and my partner get married in 11 weeks and I’m focusing on that and renovating our new home in Northumberland… I have definitely stolen some decor and inspiration from Sunflower for this 😂
Not ruling out doing a similar project again, but for now my Airbnb journey comes to an end 😊🩷
