Welsh food you should try!

If you're staying with us at Bennar, why not make your trip a chance to try some proper Welsh food? From comforting classics to sweet treats, there are plenty of local favourites worth seeking out. 😋

🧀 Welsh Rarebit
A Welsh classic! Rich, cheesy and delicious, usually served on toasted bread. Perfect for a hearty lunch.

🥔 Welsh Cakes
Small, sweet and slightly spiced, these traditional griddle cakes are perfect with a cup of tea. ☕

🍲 Cawl
A traditional Welsh soup or stew made with seasonal vegetables and usually meat such as lamb. Properly comforting after a day exploring.

🥓 Glamorgan Sausages
A vegetarian Welsh favourite made with cheese, leeks and breadcrumbs. Crispy on the outside and deliciously cheesy inside.

🍖 Welsh Lamb
Wales is famous for its lamb, and you'll find it on menus all over the country. Look out for locally sourced Welsh lamb during your stay.

🍦 Welsh Ice Cream
Because no holiday is complete without ice cream! There are some fantastic local ice cream spots around Barmouth, Harlech and Porthmadog. 🍦
