Our fantastic Italian group departed today after a two week State School and Standard Programme. Staying with some of our lovely host families and enjoying a full programme including a late theatre show in London. Thank you to the very lovely Nina for all your support with your group you really have all been fantastic.

🇬🇧 Trip to London 🇬🇧

Today we spent the day in London and saw all of the sights we used to talk about during our English lessons.
The pupils had to do a lot of walking, but it was definitely worth the muscle ache 😅 And the weather? Much better than in Austria these days…sunny, no clouds and nice and warm ☀️

Back in Eastbourne they had to face another challenge…finding the way back to their hosfamilies by bus. The kids and the teachers were glad to hear, that finally everyone managed to get home.
Now it’s time to rest…tomorrow another exciting day is waiting for us 😎

🇬🇧 Exploring Eastbourne 🇬🇧

Another exciting day here in UK is almost over. Our pupils' day started like every usual Monday...with lessons at school. Yes, you've read it correctly. Our students have to go to school here in UK. The only difference: It's English only these days 🤓

After their lessons they got some time to manage to get to the town centre of Eastbourne by bus and grab some food or souvenirs.
With loads of energy we went on a guided town tour with our guide Simon and we learned a lot about the place we are staying at. The day ended with an open-top bus tour and there we saw some of the sights of this lovely town and its surrounding.

We are looking forward to our next highlight. Are you as excited as we are?

🇬🇧 Walking tour at Beachy Head 🇬🇧

After spending some hours at school, we started our tour at the Pier. We boarded a bus and headed to Beachy Head, one of the most famous sights of Eastbourne. There we enjoyed the stunning view from the highest chalk sea cliff in Britain.

Afterwards we followed the hiking paths down to the beach. With great enthusiasm the kids were exploring the surrounding by looking for crabs and sea shells. Furthermore they got to know the unique flint stones, traditionally used for making fire.
We really enjoyed the beautiful nature at the beach.

Tomorrow we make a journey to a special place again, that is widely recognized for its dedication to culture, diversity, creativity and sustainability...so where do you think we are going?

🇬🇧 Trip to Brighton 🇬🇧

Soon after attending school we made a trip to Brighton by train. There we admired the flamboyant artwork on the walls of various buildings. Additionally we strolled along the lanes, which is extraordinary because of its bohemian style.

On our way to the seafront we caught a glimpse of the Royal Pavilion. A trip to Brighton would not be complete without visiting the Brighton Pier with all its attractions.

This trip was rounded off by an extended shopping tour.

Tomorrow we have a scheduled workshop to participate in a traditional sport, which promises to be very active.

🇬🇧 Cricket Workshop 🇬🇧

Todays afternoon program was something completely different, but very traditional and energetic. Our pupils had so much fun gaining insight the various techniques of playing Cricket. The whole instruction was guided by three professionals. We were genuinely glad that we had such a wonderful weather for this sportive event.

Tomorrow will be our last day here in Eastbourne, and it is expected to be very memorable.

🇬🇧 Our last day Eastbourne 🇬🇧

We can hardly believe it, but our Intensive Language Week is almost over.
One of the tasks during the week was to prepare a trailer of a Sherlock Holmes movie. They gathered in groups and performed them in front of the entire group and their teachers. This was the culmination of the language class. Shortly after, they received their certificates regarding their language skills.

Another memorable event today was a visit to a bowling centre. There our pupils knocked down as many pins as they could.

Our final highlight was eating fish and chips at the beach. A lovely way to bid farewell. We come back with a suitcase full of unforgettable memories and valuable experiences.

Our lovely Dutch students first day here in Eastbourne. London today and looking forward to their packed programme for the next few days.
