This coming Saturday at the Corran Halls, it’s going to be a cracker of a market. Delighted to see Angels Dare Cocktails coming west 👏

I think we will be starting with steak, oysters, then cheese and finishing with cake 👏👏

Who knew Slàinte Sauces would one day be stocked in the National Galleries of Scotland?

Now into our second very successful year with them, I think it’s safe to say we’ve found our target market and it’s not one that fits neatly into a single category.

A little to a lot of ignorance was probably my superpower when I first started. It’s not something I’d recommend as a strategy for fast growth, but without it, I might never have started at all!

I had no real understanding of target markets. We simply grew organically, lots and lots of markets, sampling, listened to our customers and retailers, made our mistakes early, and learned quickly.

Along the way, thankfully Slàinte Sauces found its own place, at the crossover between food and gifting.

Today, our sauces are proudly stocked in the National Galleries of Scotland, Edinburgh, Stirling and Urquhart Castles, Eilean Donan and Dunvegan castles, Scottish distillery shops, and independent farm shops, delis and gift shops across the country.

They don’t fit neatly into just one retail category, and that has become one of their greatest strengths. They can sit alongside desserts, cheeses, tartan, jewellery, on the shelves of butcher shops and within Scottish food collections, in visitor attractions, hampers and seasonal gift displays.

This year has been an incredibly strong year of growth for us, and we’re excited about where Slàinte Sauces is heading next.

As we prepare for our next stage, we’d love to connect with more retailers looking for distinctive Scottish products that cross over naturally from food to gifting, and come with a proven sales record.
