Both the cottage and barn which date from the 16th Century have been carefully restored to preserve their traditional charm, whilst still offering comfortable home-from-home accommodation with modern facilities.

Shout out to all local schools, community groups and parents as our ever-popular scarecrow competition returns for Harvest Fair 2026🍂

This year’s theme is “Food to Fork Heroes”, and we’re challenging students to design and build a scarecrow character inspired by any stage of the journey from growing food to eating it.

Your scarecrow could represent a farmer, gardener, beekeeper, baker, chef, delivery driver, shopkeeper or another hero who helps bring food from the field to our forks. Schools are encouraged to be as creative and imaginative as possible, using natural or reused materials where appropriate.
